Here is some behind the scenes footage of Lil Wayne’s video shoot for “On Fire.” The music video was directed by Chris Robinson and shot on December 10th in Miami. “On Fire” is going to be the 3rd official single off Wayne’s 7th studio album “Rebirth.” The song was produced by hit the production duo, Cool & Dre. They took a sample from the song “She’s on Fire” by Amy Holland. It was off the original Scarface soundtrack.

Dre (1 half of Cool & Dre) recently sat down with MTV News to talk about Wayne’s new single.

“If you speak to Wayne, Wayne will tell you the reason why he loves the record is he gets to do everything on the record,” Dre said. “He gets to spit on the record, he gets to sing on the record, he gets to play the guitar on the record. One night I was watching ‘Scarface,’ and I woke up in the morning, had the damn ‘She’s on Fire’ in my head. I called up Cool, like, ‘Yo, we gotta flip this.’ The way the sample was, you couldn’t flip it. It’s like a disco song, but you hear the guitars. I was like, ‘We should put this sh– on steroids and turn it all the way up. Throw some 808s on it and really crank this sh– up.’ We redid the whole beat and kept the ‘she’s on fire’ [vocal sample]. We gave it to Wayne. Wayne is the Fireman, so it’s perfect. But we heard it after he did it — we didn’t know he was gonna kill the guitar like he did.

“That’s him laying the guitar,” Dre added. “It’s never us producing a beat for Wayne. It’s a collaboration. It’s always a collaboration. It’s not like, ‘OK, make a beat.’ We’re making the music with him in mind and the sh– he does, [thinking,] ‘He’ll probably rap; make the music change here.’ When we gave him the Pro Tools, he goes in and he amplifies the beat. That song has drops all over it where hits the guitar. Music is so f—ing boring right now. It’s good to wake muthaf—as up. Wayne sings on it, he spits on it, and he plays the guitar on it. He gives you everything on one record where his mind is at right now.”

WOW… Actress Brittany Murphy has died at the age of 32.   TMZ is reporting that she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department received a call to the home she shares with Simon Monjack and she was then taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Acccording to the Associated Press, a 911 call was placed by her husband, Simon Monjack, on Saturday night. Apparently, the actress went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived by the Paramedics.

This is incredibly tragic especially considering that she was  so young and had much of her life still ahead of her. Our hearts go out to her family right now…

Derick G. just released the official teaser to DJ Khaled’s new music video for his song “Fed Up.” It’s the lead single off his upcoming 4th album, Victory, which is slatted for a 1st quarter 2010 release. The track was produced by The Runners, and it features artists Usher, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross andDrake. The music video was directed by Gil Green and shot November 17th in Miami. The video also features cameos from Ace Hood, Busta Rhymes and Bun B. Enjoy!!!

The chaos starts when Khaled brings a briefcase — with special contents — to a meeting with some underworld bosses.

“I can tell they trying to set me up,” Khaled described of himself in the Gil Green-directed video. “The boss that I am, I’m on my P’s and Q’s. When they said the deal is off, I let them know the streets is fed up.”

Khaled then has to jump through a window to escape. Luckily, Young Jeezy is pushing the getaway whip.

“Jeezy was there waiting on me in the exotic car,” Khaled said. “One of the fastest cars in the world. I jump in that, me and Jeezy are out! Jeezy goes in [rapping], speaking his mind. I’m with him. Then he sees the Maybach. He pulls over, I jump out the car into the Maybach with Rick Ross. Ross is getting interviewed, but he says, ‘Come on.’ DJ Envy, he’s in the Maybach too. He’s helping me get away.”

The chase doesn’t stop there. Khaled goes from the Maybach to the docks, where Drake is on a boat. From the boat, Usher hovers above in a helicopter where he lends a helping hand to the DJ.

Khaled said he was especially impressed with Usher’s performance on a rooftop and in a tunnel, where they had to stop traffic.

“We’re getting it off, letting the people know we’re here,” Khaled said. “Usher does the most amazing performance ever. Usher is singing, kicking the camera. His energy is wild. When I say Usher is going in, I thought I was seeing Michael Jackson. The whole time, his energy, he repped. He just was going in. He gave us a helluva performance. I thanked him 100 times. He don’t do too many features. It was fun. He’s a great person.”

The video ends with Khaled revealing what is worth risking life and limb for inside the briefcase. “That’s the setup for the next single, ‘Put Your Hands Up,’ “ Khaled said. “I let them know it’s coming. It’s some movie sh–. It was a three-day shoot. It’s gonna be the best video in the game.” For those asking where Lil Wayne is in the video, he’s not there. Although he appears in a new version of “Fed Up,” Wayne never intended to be in the video. “Wayne jumped on the song later,” Khaled explained. “I’ll call that the ‘just added version.’ He just showed love and jumped on.” -Via MTV

DJ Khaled should just make this a short film and ink one of them Satellite Directv Deals. I know “We The Best Records” would love the the extra money. I have gotten one of them DirectTV Packages before. They should just cut up the music video into 3 movie overviews as one of them “ON Demand” previews that Direct TV Offers.

My New Digital Camera: Thanks ShopWiki!

December 13, 2009 Leave a comment

I just started getting into the art of photography and decided to buy a new camera from ShopWiki, who has a vast camera selection. I ended up buying the Canon PowerShot S5 IS (my first digital camera)… I used this buying guide (via ShopWiki) to help me choose which camera i wanted, mainly because there are so many choices out their like the new Nikon Coolpix or Panasonic Lumix cameras, which are just as good as my PowerShot S5 IS.

Can you say “A picture is worth a thousand words.” I used to look at that statement as just a figure of speech, but knowing what i know now; it’s 100% true!  As far as my new Canon PowerShot S5 IS goes, it comes with Canon’s veteran optical image-stabilization technology, excellent metering and focusing systems, the signature flip-and-twist LCD display, and a hefty set of manual and semimanual controls. The S5 IS bumps up to 8 megapixels from the S3’s 6-megapixel sensor, increases the LCD size from 2 to 2.5 inches, and adds trendy bonus features like face-detection autofocus/autoexposure, maximum sensitivity of ISO 1600, and an ISO-shift mode that lets you jack up the setting with a button press when the camera tells you the shutter speed is too slow. Overall, it was a great buy! If you are looking for a digital camera and do not want to pay retail price for it, i suggest ShopWiki. They have over 30,00 sites that they work with.. yep over 30K. I think i might end up doing some christmas shopping on their. Anyway enjoy people!!!

Top Christmas Movies Of All Time!

December 13, 2009 Leave a comment

Ever since i was little i looked at Christmas as that one day were anything stressful didn’t matter. Everything was just about love, peace, giving, appreciation, etc. Regardless if i’ve received a gift or not, to just to be around my loved ones made it all worth wild for me. A big part of my christmas was looking at previous family Christmas Pictures and watching Christmas Movies. The movies were the most important part of Christmas because regardless of the age bracket, we all came together. Here are a few of my personal (keyword my) top Christmas Movies. Enjoy!!!

#1

A Christmas Story is a Christmas comedy film that was directed by Bob Clark. It was produced by Rene Dupont, Bob Clark, and Gary Goth. The movie first released in the US on November 18th, 1983. This has to be one of my favorite, mainly because people don’t right movies like this any more. Movies now-a-days are more “effects” driven, and alot of them lack the elements to make it last over 20 years later.

It’s 1940, in the northern Indiana town of Hohman. 9-year-old Ralph “Ralphie” Parker wants only one thing for Christmas — an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model BB rifle with a compass in the stock. Between his younger brother Randy and having to handle school bully Scut Farkus, Ralphie doesn’t know how he’ll ever survive long enough to get the BB gun for Christmas. When Ralph asks his mother for a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas, she says, “No, you’ll shoot your eye out”. When Mrs. Shields, Ralph’s teacher at Harding Elementary School, assigns the class to write a theme about what they want for Christmas, Ralph sees a golden opportunity to express his desire to have a Red Ryder BB gun. Ralph gets a C+ on the theme, and Mrs. Shields has written “You’ll shoot your eye out” on the theme. Ralph’s next plan is to ask Santa Claus for a Red Ryder BB gun, and how does Santa respond? By saying “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid.” By this time, Ralph has had enough of that. When Scut Farkus and his sidekick Grover Dill start in on Ralph while he’s on his way home from school that day, Ralph knocks Grover Dill to the ground, beats Scut’s face bloody, and then pounds Scut’s head on the snow-covered ground several times. Ralph thinks he’ll never get the BB gun for Christmas now. And all of the other kids are going to be getting what they want for Christmas. But someone may have planned a surprise for Ralph.

Home Alone is a Christmas Comedy film directed by Chris Columbus and stared Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern. The movie was directed and produced by John Hughes and was released November 16th. 1990.

After a fight with his older brother, Buzz, over pizza, Kevin McCallister (Culkin) gets sent to the attic bedroom, where he wishes that his family would simply disappear. An electrical line failure during the night resets all the alarm clocks, so the next morning the rest of the family, who have overslept, rush to leave to go on a Christmas vacation to Paris, France. During the confusion, Kevin is accidentally left at home and experiences what it is like to be independent for the first time. At the same time two intruders, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), plan to break into the (almost) vacant home. Kevin musters up a plan not only to stop the burglars but also to punish them through different boobytraps set around his house, which include flying paint cans, a BB gun, and a doorknob heated with an electric charcoal lighter.

#3

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the 1992 sequel to the 1990 film Home Alone, and the second film in the Home Alone series. Home Alone 2 was written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. It also stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern

Kevin McCallister and his family are taking another Christmas vacation, this time to Miami, Florida. During the chaos at the airport, Kevin gets separated from his family and accidentally gets on a plane to New York City. After enjoying himself there for a while, he runs into Harry and Marv from the original film, who have escaped from prison. Marv, the tall robber is essentially the “Lackey” and follows Harry’s orders into their demise.

#4

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a 1989 Christmas comedy film starring Chevy Chase. It was directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik and written by John Hughes. The movie was released December 1st, 1989 and it’s the third installment in National Lampoon’s Vacation film series.

The Griswold family has yet another family adventure from hell and this movie has all the clichés. Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) desperately wants to have the greatest Christmas ever and hosts his extended dysfunctional and quirky family in an attempt to share the holiday spirit. He expends considerable effort on the Christmas lighting for his house but can’t seem to get it to work. As he desperately tries to get the lights working, his wife’s (Beverly DAngelo) idiot cousin Eddy (Randy Quaid) and his bizarre family — including their pet dog, Snots — show up uninvited and unexpected. Things go from bad to worse in a hurry. Clark’s secret Christmas present to the family is a swimming pool which he intends to pay for using his Christmas bonus from his employer but he’s financially overextended because he had to put down a huge deposit. When the bonus turns out not to be the financial blessing he expected, the stress becomes too much and he goes nuts (and gives us one of the all-time classic movie monologues).

#5

Jack Frost is a Christmas film starring Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston. It was directed by Troy Miller, and written by Mark Steven Johnson and Jonathan Roberts. It was released November 11th, 1998.

Michael Keaton plays the title character, a man who is actually named Jack Frost. He runs a band and thus is forced to miss many events in his son’s life, but promises to be home for Christmas Eve. His band is scheduled for an audition that day, but mid-way along the trip they change their minds to be with their respective families. Jack tries to race home to make it in time. However, on his way back, he dies in a car accident due to a faulty windshield wiper. A year later, Jack’s spirit returns as his son Charlie’s (played by Joseph Cross) snowman, and decides to make up for all the times he missed with his son like doing things like sledding away from bullies, or teaching him the J-shot. In the end, Jack is forced to flee with his son to a cabin to stay cold, and thus alive. His wife (Kelly Preston) arrives, and realizes that her husband has returned. Dawn and Christmas Day arrive, and Jack becomes human once more to say goodbye before returning to the afterlife.

#6

ELF is a Christmas comedy film starring Will Ferrel. It was directed by Jon Favreau, and written by David Berenbaum. It was released on November 7, 2003.

Buddy (Played by Will Ferrell) was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa’s sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to New York City to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs. Hobbs, on Santa’s naughty list for being a heartless jerk, had no idea that Buddy was even born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City (and human culture) as only an elf can. When Walter’s relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities.

#7

Band Santa is a dark coedy film based around the Christmas time. The movie stars Billy Bob Thornton, Bernie Mac and John Ritter. It was directed by Terry Zwigoff and produced by Joel and Ethan Coen.

They end up learning the true meaning of Christmas.

Brooklyn’s Finest “This is War. This is Brooklyn.” [Official Movie Trailer]

December 12, 2009 Leave a comment

Brooklyn’s Finest is a crime film starring Don Cheadle, Richard Gere, and Ethan Hawke. The movie was directed by Antoine Fuqua, who also directed Training Day; which also delves into the gritty realm of cops and criminals. It was written by Michael C. Martin, who previously was a MTA subway flagger from East New York. In a recent interview with the NY Times, Martin said “I didn’t expect ‘Brooklyn’s Finest’ to get made. It wasn’t Hollywood overnight. It was, ‘I’m still working my 9 to 5, and I’m still writing, and I’m still trying to make my dream happen.” The cast includes Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, Don Cheadle, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wesley Snipes, Nicoye Banks, Jesse Williams, Ellen Barkin, Lili Taylor, and Jerry Speziale.

Tango (played by Don Cheadle) is an undercover officer on a narcotics detail that forces him to choose between duty and friendship. Having been to hell and back, he wants out, but the powers that be won’t let him quit. Family-man Sal (played by Ethan Hawke) is a detective tempted by greed and corruption. He can barely make ends meet, and now his wife has an illness that threatens the life of their unborn twins. Eddie (played by Jesse Williams) is nearing retirement age and has long since lost his dedication to his job as a cop. He wakes up every morning trying to come up with a reason to go on living…and he can’t think of one. Fate brings the three men to the same Brooklyn housing project as each takes the law into his own hands. Crosscutting between multiple subplots, Brooklyn’s Finest unfolds violently and passionately as coiled, constantly roving cinematography contributes a measure of unease to the underworld action.

If this tickles your fancy you might want to checkout Righteous Kill. It is a crime film directed by Jon Avnet, and stars Robert De Niro and Al Pacino I saw the preview for it when I was upgrading my Direct TV Service. I’m pretty sure it hit Direct TV by now. It’s about two New York police detectives who are working on taking down a drug-dealing club owner called Spider, who is played by 50 Cent. There is also a couple of other crime thrillers that hit TV by now. To all my aspiring “movie buffs,” go get one of them Direct TV Deals. Im pretty sure you can find 1 out of all the Direct TV Packages they offer.

Lady Gaga & Darkchild – The Making Of “Telephone” [Studio Session]

December 5, 2009 Leave a comment

Lady Gaga Performance Pic

Super producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins just released some studio footage of Lady Gaga’s hit“Telephone,” which features Beyonce. The clip below is just previews of the studio session with Lady Gaga, no Beyonce. Most likely because Beyonce was never their. Darkchild’s long-time writting partner, Lashawn Danielsm, most likely did the reference and emailed it to her. Then Beyonce and her vocal coach, arranger, and who ever else assists her with her songs recorded it over in their own studio session.

Tidbit: While i was surfing a producers forum, i saw an article on Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, and it said he started producing with Dell Computers. Judging by the video, he made a big step up to a mac and a slew hardware instruments. But being an aspiring music producer, you learn you always have to start from somewhere… things aren’t just going to come to you. So if any of you want to make a start like Darkchild did, here are some Dell Coupons I came across the other day. In these horrible economic times, any savings is great. So if a Dell isn’t your thing, here are some more coupons. Your Welcome!!!

***The song “Telephone,” is available on Lady Gaga’s second studio album,“The Fame Monster,” which is in stores right NOW. Anyway, Enjoy!!!

Lady Gaga – Bad Romance [Official Music Video]

December 1, 2009 Leave a comment

Lady Gaga Bad Romance 2

Check out the official music video for Lady Gag’s song “Bad Romance.” The RedOne-produced track is the first single off her “The Fame Monster” album, which is the re-release of her debut album, “The Fame.”  Gaga seeked the help of renowned movie director, Francis Lawrence, to help portray her psycho ideas. What i like about Lady Gaga is that she is so free spirited. The average “Joe” would look Gaga and the first thought in his head would be trashy,  but if u delve into fashion and what makes people trendsetters, she would be true definition of one. Judging by Gaga’s fashion sense, and even her choice of designer footwear brands, she could be the spokesperson for Jeffrey Campbell footwear. Think about it… lol! Either way she should be at least sponsored by them. She embodies Jeffrey Campbell footwear without even trying. Anyway Enjoy the music video!!!

“I knew [Lawrence’s] ability as a director is so much higher than what I could [do],” Gaga explained to MTV News last week. ”There’s this one shot in the video where I get kidnapped by supermodels. I’m washing away my sins and they shove vodka down my throat to drug me up before they sell me off to the Russian mafia.”

Lady Gaga Bad Romance 1

“I wanted to design a pair for some of the toughest chicks and some of my girlfriends — don’t do this at home! — they used to keep razor blades in the side of their mouths,” she explained. “That tough female sprit is something that I want to project. It’s meant to be, ‘This is my shield, this is my weapon, this is my inner sense of fame, this is my monster.’ “

“It was collaborative. He’s a really pop video director and a filmmaker. He did ‘I Am Legend’ and I’m a huge Will Smith fan, so I knew he could execute the video in a way that I could give him all my weirdest, most psychotic ideas,” she said. “But it would come across to and be relevant to the public.”
