Choosing The Right Web Host

August 3, 2010 Leave a comment

A good host is as important to any website as its author. It is arguably the foundation of your website, your brand and your business. Any server downtime could potentially tarnish everything you’ve developed for your site. If you are serious about your website, you need to make sure it is in good hands.  Making a decision on which web hosting company to choose can be a strenuous task. With all the companies out there promising to have unlimited resources, perfect uptime, and knowledgeable support, there has to be a way to cut through the gibberish and make an educated decision. After dealing with numerous hosting companies like ipage firsthand; and reading a plethora of online justhost reviews. I came to the conclusion that there are only a few factors that should really mater when choosing the right web hosting.

Fabolous Is MTV’s #8 Hottest MC In The Game!

October 3, 2009 Leave a comment

Fabolous Pic

The 2009 Hottest MCs in the Game rollout is on! As in 2007 and 2008, the list, determined by the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust, is based on an MC’s achievements right now, rather than an entire career. The criteria is based on a combination of rhyme skill, flow and how those things are implemented musically as the main factors. The Brain Trust also considers buzz, impact, commercial success — sales, airplay, business ventures, Web presence, endorsements and helping to spawn other artists’ careers — and the intangible, impact: Can an artist not only contribute to the rap game but influence cultural shifts? Are they trendsetters? All of these factors — and the results of our audience poll, which closed last week and gets a vote at the Roundtable during the Brain Trust’s debate — contribute to deciding who is the Hottest MC in the Game. We’ll be announcing an MC’s rank every day this week, with the full list revealed on Sunday at 10 p.m. during “P. Diddy’s Starmaker”!

Do You Remember Her?

This Is Sara Stokes… Stil Don’t Remember? Well. Let Me Refresh Your Memory. In 2002, A New Talent Search Began. Diddy, Along With His Supporting Cast, Having Phenomianal  Success (I Mean Ratings)  With Making The Band One’s O-Town, Decides He wants To Search For A New, Better, And More Dynamic Set Of Individuals. Artists, That When Together, Will Form Such A Dynamic It Will Transcend Genres. Guess Who He Found, Formed, And Finagled.

That’s Right… “DaBand.”

da bandBut Im Not Here To Talk About DaBand Or How I Think Diddy Is The Man For Tapping Into An Unforeseen Market, That Generates Millions For Him, Whether or Not He Sells An Album. Nay I Say! Im Here To Talk About A Fiasco I Stumbled Across.

Yes!!! It Is What You Think, But The Inverse. Apparently Sarah Stokes, The Singing Songstress, Formally 1/6 Of  “DaBand,”  Is A Man Beater. She Was Arrested August 2nd For Stabbing Her Husband. According To TMZ:

“Sara stormed out of the house after arguing with her husband Tony — she tripped, fell down and accused him of doing it…..Sara — who hurt her head in the fall — grabbed a knife and stabbed Tony in the arm — while their 3 kids watched.”

Hopefully In Her Defense They Can Say It was A Mental Breakdown. Being Put On the Shelf, Never To Re-Surface Again, Unless They Have A “Making The Band: ReUnion Special” Seasons 1-8, Can Do That To You. I Just Hope Everything Can Be Sorted Out With Out It Further Traumatizing The Kids.

P.S. It’s Bad Boy Baby!!!!

Drake: From Teen Tv Star To Rap Royalty {LA Times}

July 25, 2009 Leave a comment

From L.A. Times

By any modern measure of musical popularity — YouTube views, radio airplay, ring-tone ubiquity — the single “Best I Ever Had” by Toronto rapper Drake is not only a hit, it’s arguably 2009’s “Song of the Summer.” Since debuting on iTunes last month, the hip-hop lust track has sold 600,000 digital downloads and topped three separate pop charts. Even if you can’t summon to mind its rap-sung vocals or brassy syncopated beat, you’ve probably heard “Best I Ever Had” blaring out of a convertible somewhere.

Less than a year ago, Drake was basically a zero in the music world, unsigned and virtually unknown as a rhyme-sayer. But thanks to some out-of-the-box branding efforts by several of the best-connected marketing executives in the urban world and the institutional backing of his mentor, rap superstar Lil Wayne, Drake landed two songs in the Top 10 this month — “Best I Ever Had” as a solo artist and “Every Girl” as part of the rap group Young Money. He had already amassed a devoted fan base before he’d even landed a record deal.

Every Song of Summer has a saga behind it. And Drake’s breakthrough arrives as a happy accident built on plenty of high-level networking, a label bidding war and an astonishing degree of cooperation among rap world big shots. Chief among them, Drake’s career overseers: the heads of the New York management firm Hip Hop Since 1978 and Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne’s longtime manager.

“They have given me one of the greatest situations in hip-hop,” Drake, 22, said of his team.

“Michael Vick Finally A Free Man…” [No Ankle Bracelet???]

IDK where to go with this… I don’t come from the “Suburbs” where people practically kiss, eat, and sleep with there dogs, but I do have one. I couldn’t imagine making it fight and possibly getting it hurt or even killed. What i noticed is “everybody” follows what the media says… and base their own opinion about something or someone based on what the media said. (Thats America For You) Anyway… None of us actually saw Michael Vick at the the house where they were fighting the dogs, or even seen evidence of him actually fighting dogs… He basically supported his family by buying them houses, thats what you do when you rich. But ultimately, he was the one responsible for what they where doing there. Im not saying he wasn’t wrong, but i feel we shouldn’t bash him left and right every chance we get…. remember the family members who actually got caught “red-handed” gave up the family member, “M. Vick,” just to lessen their prison time.

Usher And Tameka Foster Filing For Divorce?

June 11, 2009 1 comment

Curtsey of In Touch Magazine

“The Grammy winner has been living apart from his wife for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch, adding, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.” The soon-to-be exes have two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months.

I knew It Was Too Good To Be True. I Hope He Had Her Sign A Prenup, Because You All Know She Is Coming For Half… It’s Inevitable. SUCKS!!!!

Tell Me What You Think Of This Situation. Do You Think She Was In It For The Money And Fame Or Do You Think It’s Usher’s Fault (For All We Know He Could Have Been Cheating)?
