Choosing The Right Web Host

A good host is as important to any website as its author. It is arguably the foundation of your website, your brand and your business. Any server downtime could potentially tarnish everything you’ve developed for your site. If you are serious about your website, you need to make sure it is in good hands. Making a decision on which web hosting company to choose can be a strenuous task. With all the companies out there promising to have unlimited resources, perfect uptime, and knowledgeable support, there has to be a way to cut through the gibberish and make an educated decision. After dealing with numerous hosting companies like ipage firsthand; and reading a plethora of online justhost reviews. I came to the conclusion that there are only a few factors that should really mater when choosing the right web hosting.

First on your list should be Price. To me, price is always a deciding factor in purchasing anything. I know we all heard the saying; you get what you paid for. In most cases it’s true, and in this particular instance, price shouldn’t be the deciding factor. Look into a company’s specialty or area of expertise before you go typing in a credit card number. You should choose the one that understands your specific needs/wants as a consumer. I suggest avoiding long-term contracts. You don’t want to be stuck with a host that’s not working for you. Also, if you happen to live outside the United States, I strongly recommend using Paypal for your transaction. Sadly, not all host are trustworthy, so use Paypal to try and avoid ending up in an unpleasant situation. There are other tips that can be useful when deciding on what host to go with. So the best advice I can truly give you is to do your research…. Google is a powerful tool! LOL!
